Content Validity

  • Content Validity refers to a measurement device’s ability to be generalized to the entire content of what is being measured.
  • The question “1 + 1 =  ” may represent very basic addition, but does it represent mathematical knowledge as a whole?
  • IOW: do the items on a test represent all possible items that measure that construct?
