Confidence Intervals
- When we speak of confidence intervals, we are talking about how sure we are that the results are the actual results.
- While we are never 100% sure that there is no error in our study, we can estimate the probability of error
- Prior to beginning research it is often determined what level of certainty is expected in order to interpret the results as significant. IOW: what amount of error do we see as acceptable.
