ADDRESSING 3D Worksheet

Description

The ADDRESSING Model, developed by Pamela Hays, helps people understand important social identities and how they influence us. This worksheet focuses on identifying how various cultural and social identities influence us in three dimensions – our sense of self, how we see others, and our relationships with both. It can be used for an individual and can be used to compare individuals. For example a therapist could use this worksheet to identify and compare social identities with their clients to help understand their relationship and how they can use their similarities and differences in working toward the client’s goals. Or, it could be used as a means to understand similarities and differences within a couple to better help them gain insight into their struggles and identify pathways to improving interpersonal communication and behaviors.
