Standard Error of Measurement
- The Standard Error of Measurement is a statistical procedure used to determine the amount of error of any measurement device.
- This is the +/- seen in surveys
- IOW: 70 percent of people prefer the color red over green with a standard error of measurement of +/- 5 points
- This means that based on our sample data we are estimating that between 65% and 75% of people in the entire population prefer the color red over green.
