Comparing Two Means
- t-Test for Independent Samples
- Most frequent test for determining the significance of the difference between means for two groups or between a sample and the known population means
- Primarily used for independent samples (e.g., two different groups taking the same test)
- t Test for correlated samples
- Similar to the above except it is used for groups that are related to each other (e.g., pre and post tests for the same group of subjects)
