Dr. Heffner is a psychologist, organizational leader, and platform builder with thirty years of experience at the intersection of behavioral science, technology, and human development.

He serves as President-Elect of APA Division 46 (The Society for Media Psychology and Technology), where he has served as National Conference Co-Chair for two consecutive years and will serve as President in 2027. He directs PsyTechLab at Antioch University Seattle, where his research explores telehealth, digital therapeutics, AI in mental health, and human flourishing in a technology-driven world.

Dr. Heffner founded AllPsych.com in graduate school as a free psychology resource. It has grown into one of the longest-standing APA-approved psychology education platforms on the internet, cited by hundreds of institutions across 30+ countries. He co-authored The Strength-Based Clinical Supervision Workbook (Routledge, 2022) and is editor of The Essential Self-Care Companion for Mental Health Professionals (Cognella, forthcoming 2026). He has published and presented nationally on psychology, technology, and mental health care.

His work bridges clinical practice, organizational leadership, and the responsible integration of technology into mental health care.

He holds a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and a PhD in Organization and Management from Capella University, and is licensed as a psychologist in Washington State.
